Digital Graffiti Button Maker

BRING PEOPLE TOGETHER to enjoy an interactive spray painting experience. This iteration on Tangible’s original Digital Graffiti Wall provides a physical take-away within minutes. The “magic” of this experience first catches everyone’s eye--and then they can jump in to start playing.

The original Digital Graffiti Wall (DGW) was created by Tangible years ago, but as a creative studio we continued to innovate and explore what’s possible. This very culture is how we came to create the Button Maker version of the DGW. We previewed it at a local fundraising event at Science World called “Science of Cocktails”, with lines of people all night!

Role: Project Manager Company: Tangible Interaction Client: Internal Product Time: 2 - 3 weeks Team: PM, CD, Software Engineer, Electronic Engineer.

The DGW has a quick pop-up system with projector, projection screen with frame, computer, and 3D-printed spray cans. We added the button press system to print and press each person’s customized button in minutes. The software is brand-able, as shown above with science theme background.

As always, the DGW was a hit, but this time the Button Maker created even more of an event-wide buzz – we had the science world staff coming to enjoy it!

Clare Charnley, from Science World:

“Thank you again for joining us at the 5th annual Science of Cocktails on February 6, 2020. Over 1,500 guests helped raise over $291,000 for Science World's Bursary Program, and we couldn’t be more grateful.”
